TODDLERS (18 months to under 3 years)

Start them young. Developing water confidence, water awareness and basic survival skills through songs and fun activities. These classes require a parent or guardian to be in the water and its  a great time for bonding with your child.

PRESCHOOL (3 to 5 years)

The most important factor in a child’s ability to learn to swim is the way they feel about the water. We make swimming fun and build water confidence through games and “show & tell” sessions. If your child learns to enjoy the water, swimming skills will follow naturally.

Primary elements of swimming that will be covered include breathing techniques, bobbing, kicking, arm movements, submersion, floating and gliding. Water safety skills will also be part of these sessions. Classes at this level teach the basics of breaststroke and front crawl.

BEGINNERS (5 years and above)

Breaststroke and freestyle will be taught at this level, and goals include swimming 50 metres of with supervision. Treading water and floating on one’s back for survival will also be taught.  Specific games to build their water confidence will also be played.
